My Story

Born and raised in Damascus, I grew up speaking and studying Arabic as my native tongue. As a teenager, I first learned French through immersion, spending summers in Paris with my father and briefly attending the Sorbonne University. I then moved to America where I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and began a career with language at the center. Decades later, between teaching middle Schoolers as well as college students, obtaining my Master's in French and interpreting in medical and court settings, I understand what it takes to learn a language in a way that is fun and applicable to professional life.
